Taylor flats,

OK now I know it's working.

The site I cleared at Taylor flats is a site we used to fly. The old ramp is gone and that area is overgrown.

I cleared and area near Doran lake at the old heli pad site. It is a huge slanted rock slab and with a little more work would be great for a pg launch as well. You must be able to clear the lower ridge after launch so a recon by PG pilots is in order for this site.

The launch is at 2430' ASL with the LZ on the gravel bar below. The gravel bar is massive. The glide to the LZ is 2.5 - 1. There is also a huge bail out that is a 2 - 1 glide. We flew this site years ago and I had many great runs there. Some decent cross country flights have been flown from there but Les knows the particulars of those flights better than me.

Contact me for more info or for directions to the launch area.
