The annual general meeting was held on Thursday, Feb. 21. The new executive was elected and the basic running of the club was discussed. The meeting minutes have been posted (under the Club section).

Thanks for the awards folks....Sorry I couldn't make it to the Xmas social. I'm glad I belong to a club that has so many hard working and selfless volunteers! (except me, I'm a selfish volunteer :-) )

At the last meeting we took nominations for the annual awards. Please email me (daveunderdog @gmail.com - remove the space) if you would like to add anyone to any category. I will be putting up the voting survey in a couple of days so act fast if you would like to see someone else nominated.
The Christmas social will be on Dec. 1, at the Victoria Flying Club. More details to come.
FYI, last meeting's minutes have been posted. Next meeting is Dec. 6.

After three weeks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia I was ready for a vaction (beer). I wound up in Norma, Italy for ten days and it just could not have been better.

Ham Licence and HAGAR seminar |

We can now do the ham licence exam "in house", permission granted by Industry Canada yesterday. As planned, I am going to run a one day seminar so we can get everyone certificated, plus shed some light on HAGAR stuff.........read on.....

What a great event!
I'd really recommend this annual fly-in to anybody who is wanting to get away for some flying, but not for long.
